Men’s Health Week is delighted to welcome two experts in getting guys to understand their own health and build resilience onto our ambassador bench for 2024, Jehan Casinader and Kent Johns.
Jehan Casinader
Jehan was born to tell stories. He made it a vocation as a TVNZ reporter on our most trusted shows, being named “Reporter of the Year” at the New Zealand Television Awards 2018. Jehan’s coverage of the Christchurch Massacre saw him named “Broadcast Reporter of the Year” at the Voyager Media Awards in 2020.
Jehan is also a survivor of depression and suicidality. It wasn’t all ups.
Now across New Zealand and further afield, Jehan brings his insight and personal experience to hugely diverse audiences. Jehan offers a fresh, inspiring perspective on the topics that matter — including wellbeing and mental strength.
Kent Johns
Kent Johns left school and pretty soon found himself at the centre of virtually all New Zealand sports action as a fledgling host on Radio Sport. The dream job proved just that, and for the next two decades plus, Kent was a true sports guru and loved every minute of it.
Now Kent brings that same relentless positivity that drives sports broadcasters to the world of health. He is a health and mental wellbeing coach, a regular health and help commentator with Newstalk ZB and he hosts the popular podcast series and radio programme “Take It From Us”, which focuses on mental wellbeing and addiction issues.
Kent and Jehan understand how guys take in information and equally, how they discard what they don’t want to know or hear.
They will both add greatly to the Men’s Health Week 2024 campaign.
